A Florida man has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery after allegedly driving his car into staff at The Villages Cruise In car show in Florida on purpose over the weekend.

At the event, which ran on Saturday November 18, Anthony Guerra became “belligerent” and aggressive towards staff after being refused entry, reports local outlet ABC 15 News. The Villages resident then began throwing paper at event staff, before “purposely and maliciously” reversing his car into a worker at the show. ABC 15 reports:

According to the arrest report, the victim said he told Anthony Guerra “that he would need to leave the car show due to the aggressive behavior.

“The victim stated the defendant threw a paper out of his car, towards another staff member, then proceeded to look at the victim and reverse his car into him.”

Guerra reportedly arrived at the car show with a group of friends but became irate when staff let another group of cars into the event before his. He then began revving his car, before “several witnesses said the defendant purposely ran the victim over due to being kicked out of the car show,” reports ABC News.
