It’s that time of year once again: When a large percentage of the country makes a pilgrimage for Thanksgiving. AAA expects over 49 million people to hit America’s roads for turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. Besides the food, it also offers the opportunity to see what your relatives are driving.

I want to know which of your family members drives the worst car to Thanksgiving. It could be from one particular year or every single year; who is pulling into the driveway with the most awful machines known to man? It’s not usually for driveways to become informal car meets as everyone finds a piece of pavement before they stuff their faces. Then, it becomes an easy conversation topic with people you only see a few times a year.

Now, I don’t want to name or shame any of my relatives, so I’m going to point out how dangerous the roads can be. Drunk-driving crashes around Thanksgiving have killed over 830 people since 2017, according to NHTSA. Please stay safe out on the roads, and don’t let anyone you’re having dinner with drive home drunk.
